Outdoor Fun with Your Pet

Have you ever wanted to get out of the house to run errands or do something fun, but didn’t want to leave your furry friend? Well, our local area has begun to create more adventures for you and your animals!

The city of Gainesville has opened many areas that you can go to with your pet, so here are a few great options for you to choose from!

If you are looking for fun outdoor options, then you are in luck! Gainesville has such a variety of dog parks or outside adventures, with around 15 different options! Many parks were created specifically for your dog to have fun, including Haisley Lynch Dog Park, Celebration Pointe Dog Park and Squirrel Ridge Park.

However, most of these different options are made for both you and your furry friend to have fun! These include (but are not limited to) Alfred A. Ring Park, which has amazing trails to explore and a park for young children, Depot Park, which has great space for your pup as well as yummy food and park options for yourself, and Smokey Bear Park, which is a children’s playground and includes a small dog park for your child and your dog to play side by side!

If you are feeling hungry, you’re in luck! Gainesville has more than 100 different food options, both dine-in and take-out, that welcome our furry friends!

All sit-down options generally require you to sit outside with your pets, though it is sometimes best to call ahead to confirm with each different restaurant. As for drive-thrus, all pups are welcome! Our local Starbucks on Archer Road even has a picture wall for your little puppies to show off their cuteness with the city!

The city of Gainesville loves their citizen’s animals just as much as you do and aims to work with you to not have to leave them behind. Take advantage of the many different options our city has to offer you and bring your furry friend along for all the different adventures you can!
